Stuck On Me

So what happens when you get stuck on yourself?  When the most important things to you are your dreams, your goals? What does it look like?

Well, this stalk of corn on the left here is a good example. It just couldn't get free of itself and frankly, it isn't gonna do us any good.

At a time when I am having to continually yield to the Lord and follow His plan, even though it doesn't make sense to me, this corn stalk was a good reminder of what our lives look like when we don't yield to Him. They sure aren't very fruitful!

"Whoever abides in Me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing."  John 15:5b

"Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit." John 12:24

Here's some of the corn that was able to get free of itself . . .

In some places it is approaching 10 feet!!

Now granted, there is no sign of "fruit" yet, haha, but we are eagerly anticipating a good crop. :0)
